Robins Camp, now under private new management, offers an exciting revival of the iconic safari destination in Hwange National Park. Robins Camp is situated in the rugged northern Basalt area of the park, an area rich in natural water with seeps and springs dotting the area. It is the home to some of the last great buffalo herds in Africa, with herds of over 2000 still seen. Given the abundance of prey animals, it is no wonder that it also has the highest concentration of lion in the Park. Robins is also known for big populations of reedbuck, roan, sable and tsessebe as well as the usual herds of elephants and other species encountered in the Park. Particularly encouraging are the regular sightings of both Cheetah and Painted Dog. The scenery of Robins is varied with hills, kopjes (small bouldered hills) and vlei (grassed plains that flood seasonally) areas and has a lot to offer the wildlife enthusiast. We welcome children of all ages and guests can self-drive or choose a fully guided trip.

Auf meiner ersten Reise nach Namibia hat mich die Magie des südlichen Afrika direkt gepackt, ließen mich die smaragdgrünen Savannen und spektakulären Sanddünen nicht mehr los. Als frischgebackener Liebhaber der endlosen Weite verbrachte ich schließlich einige Monate als Gastgeber auf einer Lodge am Waterberg. Während ich dem Geschichtsstudium in Deutschlands Hörsälen lauschte, bin ich nicht nur gedanklich, sondern auch auf zahlreichen Erkundungstouren immer wieder ins südliche Afrika zurückgekehrt – ob als helfende Hand im Goethe-Institut in Windhoek, Freiwilliger bei der UNESCO in Lusaka oder beim Bummel über die Märkte von Lomé. Seit einigen Jahren gebe ich meine nicht zu verbergende Begeisterung für die enorme kulturelle Vielfalt und landschaftliche Schönheit Afrikas (ob mit oder ohne Tiere) gern auch an andere Weltenbummler weiter.

Double/Twin Deluxe Chalets
All of the chalets at Robins camp have been newly refurbished and renovated with ensuite bathrooms added to them. They all have large comfortable beds providing welcome comfort in the middle of the bush. All rooms have mosquito nets as well.

The restaurant boasts a full continental and cooked breakfast service as well an a la carte and buffet lunch. The dinner service is a set 3 course buffet. All dietary requirements can be catered for. There is a coffee, tea and juice station at your disposal throughout the day.

Game Drives
Game drives are conducted in the mornings and afternoon/evenings at camp. They usually last about three hours each.Evening drives are conducted in the early evening offering one a chance to see the smaller more nocturnal animals with spotlights.
